Alarm over the terms of the US-Saudi civilian nuclear cooperation agreement had sharpened by Friday (2026-07-31), as analysts focused on what the deal omits: a requirement that Riyadh adopt the International Atomic Energy Agency's Additional Protocol, the enhanced inspection and verification standard Washington has typically demanded of civilian nuclear partners. The uranium sector ETF URA fell 2.01% to $39.07 at Friday's (2026-07-31) close.
