CNPE clears Petrobras gas pipeline release to pressure industrial gas prices

Brazil's National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) has approved the release of Petrobras natural gas pipeline capacity to third-party shippers, a move aimed at reducing industrial gas prices, Jornal de Brasília reported. The decision, which surfaces as the government presses for lower input costs across manufacturing, targets the transport bottlenecks that have given Petrobras outsized pricing power in the domestic gas market.
