Avaada secures $1.3bn for 2.15 GW Indian renewables buildout

India's Avaada Group has secured roughly $1.3bn in financing for a 2,150 MW renewable energy portfolio, with State Bank of India leading the funding for projects that combine hybrid and utility-scale solar capacity. The package covers 1.35 GW of hybrid projects and 800 MW of solar earmarked for two state distribution utilities, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
