India's Mumbai sits in the upper 20s, consistent with monsoon-season cloud and moisture; the EC46 nudges very slightly cooler week to week, which fits an active monsoon keeping a lid on temperatures. No standout commodity-weather signal from either region this week beyond the steady-state.
Extended Range & Regime (Weeks 3–6)
The near-term regime is a classic European summer ridge — high pressure amplifying over the Continent, neutral-to-slightly-negative NAO (latest −0.31), and a positive-leaning AO whose GEFS trajectory is noisy but tilts mildly positive. That combination supports the ridge in the short term but argues against it locking in: a positive AO and the EC46's week-2 collapse both point to the ridge breaking down rather than reloading.
