When a heat signal survives a run-to-run cycle at this lead, confidence in the *direction* climbs even as the *amplitude* stays open. The changes that did show up overnight are almost entirely Antipodean and East Asian wind tweaks — Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Osaka, Shanghai — none of which touch the European or North American demand picture.
The big picture for the next ten days is a slow handoff. Early in the period, northwest Europe sits under flat, weakly anticyclonic flow — no strong Atlantic driver, no deep trough, just a tired westerly that lets surface heating do the work. Through midweek a ridge inflates over France and southern Germany, advecting warm continental air northward.
